By applying the following Terms & Conditions of Entry, Kuantan Century Ride 2020 (KCR2020) aims to ensure that non-competitive cycling events run under its regulations offer an enjoyable and safe experience for everyone involved. In order to ensure a level of safety for participants as well as other road users and members of the public the following Terms and Conditions of Entry shall apply:

  1. For safety reasons, the speed of the peloton will be paced at initial stage (Stage 1) of the route. Speed for the remaining stages of the ride will be controlled but cut-off times are specified as follows:
    160 KM ride – 18th April 2020 (Saturday), 03:30PM.
  2. Riders must stay on the official route. There may also be secret controls along the way. The organisers reserve the right to modify the above-mentioned route or checkpoints in case the relevant authorities deny the authorisation to use certain route.
  3. All Bike are allowed except Tandem Bike. The use of triathlon handlebars or other bar extensions is discouraged for safety reasons. However, where participants do have them fitted they must not be used when riding in a group and riders must allow for a gap to the rider(s) in front that allows time to reach for their breaks if necessary.
  4. No accompanying vehicles are allowed to follow riders. Each rider must be self-sufficient. Personal support is only allowed at checkpoints. Maintain your integrity and self-regulate. Any participant failing to observe this regulation will be withdrawn from the event.
  5. There will be no personal ‘sweeper’ for this event. However Organizer will provide Official ‘Sweeper’.
  6. The wearing of HELMET is compulsory for all rider.
  7. All participants under the age of sixteen shall have had a consent form completed by their parent/guardian.
  8. The fee is not refundable.
  9. It is strictly forbidden to litter on the road. Your eco-friendly behaviour benefits all riders, and the public image of randonneuring is at stake.

By submitting this form:

  1. I understand and accept that this event is not a race or trial of speed.
  2. I accept and understand that where the event takes place on the open road I must abide by the traffic rules and regulation at all times. I am aware that when riding on a public highway the function of marshals is only to indicate direction and that I must decide whether the movement is safe.
  3. I understand and agree that I participate in this event entirely at my own risk, that I must rely on my own ability in dealing with all hazards, and that I must ride in a manner which is safe to myself and others.
  4. I allow Ministry of Tourism, Art and Culture Pahang Office, or their proxies such as partners and media organisations to use static or moving images on which they may appear and which have been captured during their participation in KCR2020 for publicity purposes, including promotional material and/or advertising, throughout the world and for the longest period provided by the law, regulations, and treaties in force, including any extensions that may be made to this period.
  5. I accept that if I do not abide by these terms and conditions that the organisers will make all reasonable efforts to remove me from the event.
  6. I agree to abide by the MOTAC Pahang regulations for KCR2020.
  7. I agree that no liability whatsoever shall attach to the promoter, promoting club/organisation, event sponsor, MOTAC Pahang or any event official or member of MOTAc Pahang or member of the promoting club /organisation in respect of any injury, loss or damage suffered by me in or by reason of the event, unless such injury, loss or damage is proven to be caused by the negligence of the aforementioned.


  1. There will be 2 checkpoints along the route.


  1. The organiser will take every precaution to ensure the safety of the participants, however, all the participants who take part in the KCR2020 are at his or her own risk and shall be responsible for his or her own safety. The event organiser shall not be responsible or held liable for any injury or death howsoever arising from training for or during participating in KCR2020. The Participant is strongly encouraged to consult his or her medical practitioner in respect of his or her health prior to registration and before the actual event day.
  2. Participant must retire from the ride immediately if required to do so by any member of the official medical staff, race director, referee and/or security officer.
  3. The race route will NOT be closed to public for the duration of the race.
  4. The organiser will not be held responsible for any incidents resulting from the non-compliance of the above.

Whilst every reasonable precaution will be taken by the organizer to ensure the participants' safety, however, all participants ride at their own risk and the organizer will not be responsible or held liable for any injury or death howsoever arising from training for or during participating in the Race. Your safety and well-being are your own responsibility. Always ride within your own abilities.
