Larian Hutan Kita 2020 is co-organized by Ministry of Water, Land and Natural Resources Malaysia, Jabatan Perhutanan Semenanjung Malaysia, MMTF Consultant and 10 Senses. It will be held on 21st March 2020 at Taman Rimba Alam, Putrajaya.

Larian Hutan Kita 2020 is a “Family Orientated Fun Run” which will take runners through 5KM and 10KM of pristine road, trails and path around Taman Rimba in Putrajaya.

Whilst the 5KM suits runners of all ages albeit even those in strollers or wheelchairs, the 10KM is designed for runners who demands more distance or speed through our pristine jungle trails.


  • To enhance awareness on the importance of natural treasures and foster the spirit of love for our forest.
  • To cultivate a healthy lifestyle amongst the community.
  • To forge closer relations and promote multi-racial unity.

Do take note that beside being a “carbon neutral event”, part of the proceed from registration will go towards activities to conserve and preserve our forest.

  1. All participants will receive a micro-fibre sublimation event tee.
  2. Participants are advised to refer to the size chart and select their sizes carefully to avoid any sizing issues. No exchange will be allowed after confirmation of registration.

  1. Finisher medals will only be awarded to runners, upon completion of race within cutoff time.
  2. Registered participants who do not turn up in person on Race Day will be disqualified and will not be entitled to a finisher medal.

** Note 1: Participants must wear their bib numbers at the front.

** Note 2: Tampering with the race bib in any way (e.g. obscuring/removing sponsor’s identification) will result in your disqualification. The organizer shall immediately disqualify any participants, if this rule is not strictly observed.

** Note 3: Participants without Race Bibs on event day will not be allowed to start the race.

** Note 4: Whosoever found to be running with another person’s race bib other than his/ her own will be subjected to disqualification, and possible banned from the event for a period of time.

** Note 5: The organizer is against the unlawful transfer of bib. Any transfer must be made known and be authorized by the organizer. This is to ensure that should there be any incidents, the right person is contacted and the right treatment to be administered in some cases.

Start/ Finish/ Checkpoints

The start and finish of the race is at Taman Rimba Alam, Putrajaya.

Support Crew

Support crews are not required for this race, as the respective checkpoints/ water station by the organizer are adequate for runners to successfully complete the race.

If you have support crews, kindly ensure that they only support you at the START-FINISH area. Support crews are not allowed on the course, as they could be a hazard to other runners or to themselves. Anyone found to have breached this rule of law will be disqualified and evicted from the course.

Organizer is not responsible for the safety of support crews. The registered runner is responsible for the actions of his/ her support crews. Support crews must comply with all instructions from event officials. The runner may be penalized or disqualified for actions or breaches of the rules by their support crew.

Support crews must not eat the provided food at START-FINISH area. The food is for the competitors only.

** Note 1: All runners are covered by Personal Accident Insurance from PACIFIC INSURANCE.

Acknowledgement, Release and Indemnity 

This is an important document which affects your legal rights and obligations. You must read it carefully prior to entering the event. During online entry you must tick a box to confirm you have read and understood this form. Please re-read this form in the few days or weeks prior to the event to make yourself aware of the risks of participating. Only those participants doing a late entry transfer need to print and sign this form and bring to event registration. 

In consideration of Larian Hutan Kita 2020 (the “Event Organizer” or “MMTF”) accepting my participation in the event to be held in Taman Rimba Alam, Putrajaya on 21st March 2020, I agree to this release of claims, waiver of liability and assumption of risk.

  1. I have read and understood the relevant Competitor Briefing document and information relating to the Event.
  2. The Event Organizer may, at their sole discretion, refuse entry or cancel an entry (with full refund) to any person for any reason whatsoever.
  3. I understand the demanding physical nature of the Event. I declare, as a condition of entry to the event, that I have sufficiently trained for this Event and that I am not aware of any illness, injury or any other physical disability which may cause me injury or death whilst participating in the Event.
  4. In the event that I become aware of any medical condition or impairment, or am otherwise sick or injured prior to or during the Event, I will withdraw from the Event.
  5. I acknowledge that participating in the Event is a dangerous activity and that by such participation I am exposed to certain risks. I acknowledge that the enjoyment of trail running is derived in part from the inherent risks and exertion beyond the accepted safety of life at home or at work and that these inherent risks contribute to such enjoyment and is a reason for my participation in the Event.
  6. I acknowledge and understand that whilst participating in the Event:
  • I may be injured, physically or mentally, or may die from various causes including, but not limited to over exertion, dehydration, cardiac arrest, slips, trips or falls, accidents with other participants, spectators and road users, or accidents caused by my own actions;
  • My personal property may be lost or damaged;
  • I may cause injury to other persons or damage their property;
  • The conditions in which the Event is conducted may vary without warning;
  • I may be in a remote or isolated location where access to medical support may be limited and take significant time to reach me;
  • There may be no or inadequate facilities for treatment or transport of me if I am injured;
  • I assume the risk and responsibility for any injury, death or property damage resulting from my participation in the Event
  1. I agree that if I am injured or require medical assistance, the Event Organizer may, at my cost, arrange medical treatment and emergency evacuation as deemed necessary by the Event Organizer. I agree that I am responsible for my own medical and ambulance insurance cover.
  2. I agree to release, indemnify and hold harmless the Event Organizer, its officers, employees, agents, volunteers, contractors, public bodies, landholders and sponsors, from and against any and all claims, demands, right or cause of action, suits, expenses, costs and proceedings of any nature whatsoever which may be made by me or on my behalf or by other parties for or in respect of or arising out of any injury, loss, damage or death caused to me or my property as a result of my entry or participation in the Event whether by negligence, breach of contract or in any way whatsoever.
  1. I also agree that in the event I am injured or my property is damaged, I will bring no claim, legal or otherwise, against the Event Organizer in respect to that injury or damage.
  2. I understand that my medical history and personal information, collected as part of the entry process for the Event will be made available to the event medical team and operations team. It will only be used to help staff look after me if I need help and care. If I am evacuated from the event by Emergency Services, this personal information plus any new data entered by event staff will be supplied to the Emergency Services staff to enable my continued care.
  3. I agree to allow my name, results, photographs, videos, multimedia or film likeness to be used for any legitimate purpose by MMTF, the sponsors, event partners, or assigns without payment or compensation.
  1. I acknowledge that my image may be taken by an Event photographer and that Event photographer may contact me to offer for sale images of me at the Event.
  2. I agree to abide by the Event rules and the directions of all Event officials.
  3. I acknowledge that the Event Organizer may change the advertised course without notice if the Event Organizer deems this necessary. I also acknowledge that the Event Organizer may cancel the Event due to weather conditions, safety considerations, terrorism or ‘acts of god’ and that in such circumstances my entry fee will be non-refundable.

Document Required for REPC

  1. Confirmation slip
    Note: We encourage a paperless environment. Hence, a confirmation slip displayed through mobile/smartphone at the REPC counter will suffice.
  2. Photocopy of National Registration Identity Card (Malaysian) or Passport together with confirmation slip must be produced during REPC.
  3. Please note that race entry packs will not be issued on event day unless the organizer are informed in advance. This is to ensure that there is no disruption to the preparation of the race..
  4. For runners who are not able to collect their race pack during REPC as mentioned above kindly inform us in advance and please ensure that you collect your race pack 3 hours before race flag off at starting line ( Infront of Entrance Putrajaya Nexus International School ). All race pack collection counter will cease operation 90 mins before the start of the respective race.
  1. All participants must register online by providing their name, NRIC/Passport number, gender, contact number, email address, and emergency contact details.
  2. Upon successful registration, each participant will receive a confirmation slip via email. The confirmation slip serves as the only valid evidence of registration. All participants are required to present their respective confirmation slips and, or identity card and; or passport during Race Entry Pack Collection Day.
  3. The Event is open to participants above 7 years of age. Age is calculated based on 14thDecember 2019.
  4. Participants must place their race bibs facing forward, prominently as high as possible on the front of your Running Tee.
  5. Tampering with the race bib in any way (e.g. obscuring/removing sponsor’s identification) will result in your disqualification. The organizer shall immediately disqualify any participants, if this rule is not strictly observed.
  6. No pets or animals allowed on the course.
  7. A runner is not allowed to be supported by any 3rdParty or participant to the race, other than at the START-FINISH area.
  8. If you withdraw from the race, you must report to the closest water station. This will ensure that you will be safety remove from the race course and transported back to the race venue.
  9. You must obey the instructions given by our event team.
  10. Littering is prohibited. Kindly dispose all litter at the nearest water station.
  11. Do not leave any human faeces on the track. If you need to poo, use a toilet, a wag bag or get off track and “Leave No Trace”.
  12. You must obey any information signs and markers along the race course.
  13. The organizer reserves the right to discourage and/or penalize behavior that is considered unsporting.
