HITC Move Run 2020

IMPORTANT: On the advice of the Selangor State Government and with the sharp increase in the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases recently, we regret to inform you that we have decided not to proceed with HITC Move Run that was scheduled to be held on the 22nd March 2020 at Sunsuria Forum@7th Avenue.

There won’t be any race kit collection on 14th and 15th March as mentioned earlier.

However, we will distribute the race kit on 22nd March at Sunsuria Forum@7th Avenue, 10am-12pm.

Please bring your Identification Card (IC).

  1. All participants shall agree to abide by the Event Rules and Regulations set forth by MIMS Medica Sdn Bhd ("Organiser").
  2. By signing up for and providing any information, personal or otherwise, in order to gain access to any product(s) and/or service(s) and/or participate in any programme(s), event(s), or any other activities involving the Organiser or its event company (“Event Company”) and/or the Event sponsors (the “Sponsors”), the Participant is deemed to have given explicit permission for the Organiser, the Event Company and the Sponsors to collect, analyse, collate, share, disclose to third parties, sell and/or otherwise use without any liability to the Participant, any personal information relating to that Participant as may in its sole discretion deem fit, including without any limitation for its programmes, planning, data processing and statistical or risk-analysis, research, fund-raising and/or any other purposes in furtherance of the functions. The Organiser, Event Company and the Sponsors declare by virtue of being the organiser, company or sponsor, they can use services of third parties:
    1. For storing data within and outside of Malaysia, whichever one is deemed most reasonable by Organiser; 
    2. For development or implementation of programmes, products or services as it may deem necessary;
    3. For outsourcing of any programme(s), event(s) and/or any activities;
    4. For promotional, marketing and/or administrative purposes;
    5. For all purposes as required by law, including without limitation court proceedings, criminal investigations or prosecutions or where so ordered by any competent authority;
    6. In connection with any proposed novation, assignment, transfer, sale, lease, license, partnership, joint-organising and/or any collaboration where and when required in relation thereto.
  3. Completion of the official entry form, including online registration, confirms the Participant’s agreement to abide by these Rules and Regulations and the Personal Data Policy published in this website.
  4. The Organiser will not entertain nor be in any way responsible for any disputes arising from incomplete or inaccurate entry details in the registration form.
  5. The Organiser reserves the right to limit, accept or reject any entries without prior notice and reasons to the Participants.
  6. 8. The Organiser reserves the right to close the registration before the intended deadline without prior notice.
  7. Only one (1) entry/category/registration is allowed for each Participant. Change of category is not allowed once registration has been completed.
  9. All transactions are in Ringgit Malaysia (MYR).
  10. The Organiser reserves the right to modify or substitute any of these Rules and Regulations from time to time as they deem fit. If there is ambiguity in any of the provisions, the Organiser shall be the authority to interpret and in doing so, the Organiser will take into account the interests of all the affected Participants. It is the responsibility of the affected Participant to keep abreast with any changes. Please check back the Checkpoint website regularly for updated Rules and Regulations.
  11. Registration for the race is only confirmed upon payment made and email will be sent to the Participant. If such confirmation slip is not received within 7 working days from the successful registration date, the participant should contact the Organiser.
  12. Event's tee-shirt size is available on a first-come-first-served basis and size change after confirmation of registration is not allowed and request will not be entertained.
  13. In consideration of the Participants use of this website, the Participants agree to:
    1. Provide true, accurate, current and complete information contained in any registration form (such information being the “Registration Data”); and
    2. Maintain and promptly update the Registration Data to keep it true, accurate, current and complete. The Organiser may contact the Participants from time to time by call, email and/or mobile device. Any notice sent to the email address and mobile device registered with the Organiser shall be deemed as received by the Participants. If the Participants provide any information that is untrue, inaccurate, not current or incomplete, or the Organiser has reasonable grounds to suspect that such information is untrue, inaccurate, not current or incomplete, the Organiser may suspend or terminate the Participant's registration and refuse Participants any and all future use of this website (or any parts thereof).
  14. The Organiser reserves the right to cancel or postpone the Event at any time without prior notice to the Participants, in which case the Organiser will make an effort to inform the Participants prior to the date of the Event. If the Event has to be cancelled or postponed, there shall be no refund of fees paid unless the Organiser deems fit to give a refund. The Organiser, Event Company, Sponsors and its Affiliates (defined below) shall not be held liable for any loss or inconvenience caused. The “Affiliates” shall include the Event co-organisers, co-sponsors, partners, volunteers, and any entity or person that provided products or services for the Event and Event activities.
  15. There will be strictly no refund available if the Event is cancelled for reason of force majeure i.e. due to occurrence of incidents that are beyond the control of the Organiser or acts of God which renders it impossible or unsafe to hold the Event.
  16. The Organiser reserves the right to amend the Event race routes as the Organiser deems fit for the safety of the Participants and/or to prevent any potential hazards in the running of the Event, at any time without prior notice to the Participants. In such cases, every effort will be made to inform the Participants prior to the date of the Event. The Organiser, Event Company, Sponsors and Affiliates shall not be held liable for any loss or inconvenience caused due to such changes.
  17. While every reasonable precaution will be taken by the Organiser to ensure the safety of Participants, the Participants take part solely at their own risk and the Organiser, Sponsors and Affiliates will not be responsible or held liable for any injury or death howsoever arising from training for, before, during, or after participation in the HITC MOVE RUN 2020.
  18. Participants are strongly encouraged to go for a medical examination and/or consult their medical practitioner prior to registration and before the race day. Participants must accept and understand that he/she must have the physical fitness suitable for the category that he/she registered for, by the day of the race.
  19. The running bib must be visible on the Participant’s chest at all times. Participants who do not wear his/her running bib will be taken off the race route by security officers, officials or route marshals, and shall be immediately disqualified.
  20. If the Participant's original running bib cannot be found by the respective staff during Race Kit Collection (“RKC”), the Organiser reserves the right to replace it with a spare running bib. The Organiser reserves the right to amend or substitute any Participant’s running bib at any time without prior notice to the Participant.
  21. The cut-off time for the 5 KM is at 8.45 a.m. from the first flag-off time which is at 7.15 a.m.
  22. The cut-off time for the 10 KM is at 8.30 a.m. from the first flag-off time which is at 8.30 a.m.
  23. At the end of the race, Participants who finished the race within the cut-off time will receive Finisher’s Medal and Finisher’s T-shirt. If any Participants failed to finish the race within the cut-off time, the Participant must retire from the race immediately, if required to do so by any member of the official medical staff, race director, referee, and/or security officer.
  24. Pets, bicycles, in-line skates, prams, strollers, pushcarts, shoes with built-in or attached rollers and any other wheel-run objects are not allowed on the race route. Only official race and medical vehicles are allowed on the race route.
  25. Once registration has been duly processed, there will be strictly no refunds after payment is made, for any reason whatsoever. There will be strictly no refunds for Participants who do not eventually take part in the Event for whatever reason.
  26. The Organiser reserves the right to use any photographs (including those of Participants), motion pictures, recordings, or any other media records of the Event (including any programme(s), event(s), or any other activities associated before, during or after HITC MOVE RUN 2020, for any legitimate purpose including commercial advertising, publicity purpose and distribution to Sponsors.
  27. The Organiser reserves the right to limit and/or refuse entry to the Event and/or other programme(s), event(s), or any other activities involving the Organiser, Event Company and the Sponsors without giving any reason and/or notice.
  28. Participants must be 18 years old or older on Sunday 20 March 2020 to participate either in the 5 KM or 10 KM run. For any Participant below 18 years old, it requires consent from either parent or guardian. Any Participant below 18 who participates in the run without their parents or guardian consent, the Organiser, Event Company and the Sponsors will not be liable for any loss injury, loss or damage to the Participant which might occur during the Event.
  29. A race kit is the Event’s kit which includes the running bib, and other sponsored items (if any) (“Race Kit”).
  30. Participants must collect his/her Race Kit at the RKC venue during the collection period, of which details will be stated on the Checkpoint website or email to the Participant. During the collection of the Race Kit, the participant must submit the duly signed and complete INDEMNITY RELEASE FORM, which the copy of the said form will be emailed to the Participants separately upon successful registration. Without the Organiser or Event Company receiving the duly signed and complete INDEMNITY RELEASE FORM, the Participant will not be entitled to collect the Race Kit. All Race Kit not collected during the collection period will be deemed to be unwanted, and the Organiser shall be at liberty to dispose or re-distribute them accordingly. Race Kit cannot be collected on race day.
